Zen Slate does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
All data created and stored in Zen Slate (including notes, categories, tags, images, and other content) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do not have access to any of your data.
Local Data Storage
- All notes, categories, tags, and other content are stored locally on your device using iOS's local storage capabilities
- No data is transmitted over the internet
- No data is stored on remote servers
- No data is shared with third parties
Permissions
Zen Slate requests the following permissions:
Camera Access
Purpose: To allow you to take photos directly from within the app to add to your notes
Data: Photos taken are stored locally on your device only
Photo Library Access
Purpose: To allow you to select existing photos from your device to add to your notes
Data: Selected photos are stored locally on your device only
Photo Library Write Access
Purpose: To allow you to save images to your photo library
Data: Only images you explicitly choose to save are written to your photo library
Third-Party Services
Zen Slate does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
iCloud/CloudKit (Pro Feature)
If you subscribe to Zen Slate Pro and enable iCloud sync:
- Your notes are synced to your personal iCloud account
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- We do not have access to your iCloud data
- iCloud sync is optional and can be disabled
- Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud data
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device, data security is managed by iOS's built-in security features. We do not have access to your device's security mechanisms.
Children's Privacy
Zen Slate is suitable for users of all ages and does not collect any information from anyone, including children.
Your Rights
- You have full control over your data
- You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app
- Your data never leaves your device (unless you enable iCloud sync, in which case it goes to your personal iCloud account)
- We have no access to your data
Data Deletion
- Deleting the app removes all local data
- iCloud data (if enabled) remains in your iCloud account (managed by you)
- You can delete individual notes or all notes from within the app
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in app settings

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app with an updated revision date.
