Switching is a chore, so these pages are about the chore

Most “alternative” pages are an advert with a competitor’s name in the title. These are written for the specific moment you have already decided to move and now have to actually do it, which is the part nobody writes about and the part that goes wrong.

So each page covers the handover in order: what comes across in an export and what does not, which fields you will be re-entering by hand, what to check before you cancel anything, and how long it realistically takes. Attachments, shared items and two-factor seeds are the three things that usually surprise people, and each page says plainly which of them survive the trip.

Every page also has a section naming the cases where you should stay exactly where you are. That is not modesty. If you need a shared family vault, a browser extension on Windows, or a team admin console, moving would cost you something we cannot give back, and it is better to read that here than to find out afterwards.

Claims about the other product are kept to things that do not go stale, and each page carries the date they were last checked against that product’s own documentation. If you are still weighing the decision rather than executing it, the head to head comparisons lead with a verdict instead.
