Zen Horology collects information that you provide directly to us, including watch collection data (brand, model, year, serial number, images, and COSC certification status). All data is stored locally on your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to enable the core functionality of the app, including storing and displaying your watch collection. Your data is primarily stored on your device. If you choose to enable the optional iCloud backup feature, your backup files may be synced to your personal iCloud Drive account for backup and restoration purposes.
3. Data Storage
All watch collection data, including images, is stored locally on your device using secure local database storage. Your data is primarily stored on your device and is not transmitted to external servers unless you choose to use the optional iCloud backup feature.
3.1. iCloud Backup (Optional)
Zen Horology offers an optional backup feature that can sync your data to iCloud Drive. This feature is completely optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time through the app's settings or iOS Settings. When enabled, your backup files are stored in your personal iCloud Drive account and are protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption. You have full control over this feature and can disable iCloud sync at any time through iOS Settings. We do not have access to your iCloud account or the data stored there.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data stored locally on your device. However, no method of storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, modify, or delete any information stored in the app at any time. You can delete individual watch entries or all data through the app's interface.
6. Third-Party Services
Zen Horology does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your data remains on your device unless you choose to use the optional iCloud backup feature, which uses Apple's iCloud Drive service. When using iCloud backup, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is subject to Apple's privacy policy and terms of service.
7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Zen Horology offers an optional premium subscription service ("Zen Horology Premium") that provides access to unlimited watches in your collection and all premium features. Subscription information, including pricing, duration, and features, is displayed within the app before purchase.
Subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. We do not collect or store your payment information. All subscription data, including purchase history and subscription status, is managed by Apple and stored according to Apple's privacy practices.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings. We do not have access to your subscription management settings or the ability to cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app.
