This Privacy Policy describes how Zen Teleprompter ("Zen Teleprompter," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile app (the "App").

1. Who we are

Zen Teleprompter is a utility that helps you write, organize, and read teleprompter scripts, and optionally record video while prompting. We do not operate a separate social network or user directory inside the App.

2. Information the App processes

Scripts and related data

Text you enter, titles, edits, favorites, archive state, and similar metadata are stored on your device using Apple frameworks (including SwiftData). If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, encrypted copies may sync to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. We do not host your scripts on servers we control, and we cannot access your private iCloud database.

Recordings

When you record, video and audio are captured using your device's camera and microphone. Output is stored locally (and may be saved to Photos or Files when you export or save). We do not receive the content of your recordings on our servers as part of normal App operation.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple via In-App Purchase. Apple provides us with transaction identifiers and subscription status, not your full payment method details.

Technical and optional analytics

We may collect limited technical information (for example diagnostics, crash reports, or aggregated usage) to keep the App reliable. We do not sell your script text or use it for advertising profiling.

3. Permissions

Camera, microphone, photo library, and file access are used only when you take actions that require them (for example starting a session or importing a script), subject to iOS permission prompts. You can revoke access in the iOS Settings app.

4. Legal bases and use

We process information as needed to provide the App, honor your sync choices, enforce subscription entitlements where applicable, and improve stability.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Apple may process data when you use iCloud, the App Store, or payment services, pursuant to Apple's policies.

6. Retention and your control

You can delete scripts and recordings from within the App where supported. Turning off iCloud stops new sync to iCloud; existing cloud data remains under your Apple ID until you remove it via Apple's tools.

7. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected a child's information, contact us through the App Store listing or hello@zenproducts.ai.

8. International users

If you use the App outside your home country, your information may be processed on devices and Apple services in other regions according to Apple's infrastructure.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected in the App. Continued use after the effective date means you acknowledge the update.
